Charlie Barner, Sr.

Barner, Charlie., of Richmond, departed this life July 21, 2008. He was preceded in death by his wife, Geneva Barner. He is survived by three daughters, Charlene Robinson, Sonja Steele and Teesha Quarles; three sons, Reginald, Charlie Jr. and Keith Barner; 16 grandchildren, 15 great-grandchildren; one sister, Marie Wells; two brothers, Thomas and William Barner; one aunt, Caldonia (Callie) Charity; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Pansey Barner; two sons-in-law, James Robinson and Robert Steele; two sisters-in-law, Ann and Connie Barner; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where funeral services will be held Friday, 1 p.m., Rev. Clifford B. Chambliss Jr. officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home at 12:45 p.m. Friday.
