Smith, Departed this life July 23, 2008. Mrs. Carrie M. Smith of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Silas Smith; two daughters, Darlene P. Smith and Karen M. Haley; one son, Ronald E. Smith; nine grandchildren; Charlene Robinson, Kareema, Sharonda & Angel Smith; Princess, Charles L. Jr., Brianna and Madison Haley; and Moreena Hashim; four great grandchildren, Nakajia, Irvesha & Irvin Parker and Kayla Cherry; three sisters, Ruth Bell, Cardell Daniels and Lena Johnson; two brothers, George and Clarence Morris; two aunts, Mary Jones and Bessie Miles; three uncles, Andrew, Linwood and Floyd Miles; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Willie Mae Smith; one son-in-law, Charles L. Haley Sr; three sisters-in-law, Jennie Smith Ellis, Julia & Karen Morris; one brother-in-law, Eddie Daniels; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends 6:30 to 7:30P.M. on Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday 10A.M. at Second Baptist Church, 1400 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. James Harris(pastor) off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 9:45A.M. Saturday.
