Richard A. Prentis

Departed this life May 9, 2014. Richard Allen Prentis Jr., age 58, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his father, Richard Allen Prentis Sr. and his brother, Douglas Prentis. He is survived by his mother, Beula Prentis; two sisters, Paula Morton and Charlotte Harris; one brother, Steward Prentis; four aunts; Jean Burrell, Robinette Peeples, Charlene Lewis and Mildred Hunt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Bonita Prentis; two brothers-in-law, James Morton Jr. and Earl Harris; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday 1PM at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor). Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Thursday.
