Jeanette Austin

Departed this life May 21, 2014. Mrs. Jeanette Austin, age 95, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie Austin. She is survived by one daughter, Deborah Austin Miller; two grandchildren, Allegra and Desmond Miller; one sister, Vivian Hagan; a host of nieces among them a devoted Lindsay Bryant, nephews among them a devoted Carl Thacker and cousins; son-in-law, E. Jerome Miller; and other relatives and friends. She established the first cafeteria at VAN de Vyver Elementary School. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. The family will receive friends Tuesday 10 am at St. Paul’s Catholic Church, 909 Rennie Avenue followed by a funeral mass at 11am. Father George Zahn off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery.
