James Temple

Departed this life June 22, 2014. James Arthur Temple Sr., age 82, of Richmond. He was a member of Phi Beta Sigma Fraternity, Inc. He is survived by his wife, LaVerne Temple; two daughters, LaTanya R. T. Gilliam and JuaTina L. Temple; two sons, James Arthur Temple Jr. and Larry A. Temple; seven grandchildren; one great grandson; one sister, Barbara Caldwell; one brother, Norris Temple; one aunt, Mary Frances Norwood; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Cynthia Temple; one son-in-law, Curtis S. Gilliam; five sisters-in-law; Virginia Ritzberg, Sylvia Pride, Burnadair Hunt, Farhana Holsey and Florence Lipscomb; five brothers-in-law; Hozie Caldwell, Cecil Lipscomb, Jay Hunt, Khalim Holsey and John Pride; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Hood Temple A. M. E. Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Tony D. Henderson(pastor). Dr. Kevin McGill(eulogist). Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM. Saturday.
