Rev. Vernon M. Rogers

Departed this life June 20, 2014. Rev. Vernon Rogers, age 60, of Richmond. He is survived by two sons, Vermon(Teresa) and Vernard Rogers; three grandchildren; Ayran, Alijah and Alysa Rogers; mother, Joan Ross Rogers; father, Vernon Rogers Jr.; one sister, Joyce VanDee; two aunts, Rose Washington and Evelyn Ross; a niece and nephew, Johanna and Jason VanDee and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. He was a member of Alpha Phi Alpha Fraternity, Inc. The family will receive friends Friday 11am at Ebenezer Baptist Church, 216 W. Leigh Street followed by funeral services at 12 noon. Dr. Levi Armwood(pastor)Dr. Wallace J. Cook, pastor emeritus, off.
