Bertha Anderson Lewis

Mrs. Bertha A. Lewis of Richmond, departed this life July 2, 2014 at the age of 87. Bertha was predeceased by her parents, Junious and Lois G. Phipps and her husband, Junius Lincoln Lewis, Sr. Those left to reminisce and cherish fond memories are one son, Junius Lincoln, Jr. (Rebecca) of Morgantown, West Virginia; one daughter, Mollette Yolanda; three grandchildren, Junele Lynn, Junius Lincoln, III and Jonathan Tyler Lewis, all of Morgantown, West Virginia; one great-grandchild whom she adored, Aaron Eugene Parker, Jr.; a devoted sister-in-law, Aretta H. Lewis; special neighbors, LaCrecha Lewis, Courtney Blaine and Gloria Terry; and other relatives and friends, among them Patricia D. Lewis and Cecil Thompson, who was raised by her mother. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr. Funeral Home, Inc., 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3:00 to 4:00 pm on Sunday. Funeral services will be held on Monday, July 7 at 1:00 pm at First Union Baptist Church, 3510 Dill Road, Richmond, Virginia 23222 where Reverend Alvin T. Armstead will be the officiating minister. The interment will be held at Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends will assemble at the church at 12:45 pm on Monday.
