Gillison, Departed this life August 23, 2008. Mrs. Marian T. Gillison of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, George E. Gillison Sr.; three daughters, Darlene G. Taylor, and Caryn E. & Joan I. Gillison; two sons, George E. Jr. and Walter A. Gillison; nine grandchildren; three brothers, Charles A., William A. and Clarence E. Thornton; one aunt; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Gillison; one son-in-law, George C. Taylor III; four sisters-in-law, Catherine Glascoe, and Martha, Shirley and Lola Thornton; one brother-in-law, Felix M. Gillison Sr.; and other relatives and friends among them. Rosa Edith Jones. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday, 12 noon at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off.
