Vernon Bannister

Departed this life July 15, 2014. Vernon Louis “Chek” Bannister, age 56, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his father, Louis Bannister. He is survived by his mother, Geraldine Tisdale Bannister; two aunts, Bessie Coleman and Kathleen Jones; five uncles; Edward & Joseph Tisdale, and Willie, James & Sam Bannister; a host of cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 12 noon at the Church of God in Richmond, 300 W. Roanoke Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Apostle Michael W. Bennett(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Friday.
