Richard E. Anderson Jr.

Departed this life August 17, 2014. Richard E. Anderson Jr., age 67, of Richmond. He was a marathon runner and a die hard VSU “Trojan” alumnus. He also served as chairman of the trustee board of Riverview Baptist Church. He is survived by his wife, Janice B. Anderson; one daughter, Kimberly M. Anderson; one son, Brian E. Anderson; one brother, Michael L. Anderson; one nephew, Christopher M. Anderson; a host of cousins; a daughter-in-law, Brandie Anderson; mother-in-law, Alexena Burch; four sisters-in-law; Trudy Clarke, Beverly Hall, Linda Anderson and Patricia L. Burch; three brothers-in-law; David Burch, Michael Hall and George W. Clarke III and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 1PM at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Friday.
