Wilson, Departed this life September 9, 2008. Amos E. Wilson Sr. of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his father and mother, Isaac Jenkins and Mary Alma Hill and his stepfather, Troy Hill ; one brother, Richard Jenkins. He was a retired Master Chief Petty Officer in the United States Navy and had served in the Navy for thirty years. He is survived by his wife, Mary Jean Wilson; four daughters, Valerie Patterson, Andrea Johnson, Mary Allen and Barbara Wilson; two sons, Ernest S. Somerville and Amos E. Wilson Jr.; twelve grandchildren; four sisters, Barbara W. Terry, _____________, _______________ and ____________; two brothers, Stanley and David Jenkins; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Sheryl Austin-Somerville; two sons-in-law, Carl Johnson and Kelvin Allen; four sisters-in-law, Patricia D. Somerville, _____________, ______________, and ________; four brothers-in-law, Horace Terry, __________, ___________, and ______________; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Hood Temple A. M. E. Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Kevin McGill(pastor) officiating. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45A.M. Saturday.
