Departed this life August 25, 2014. Charles H. “BJ” James Sr., age 91, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by a son, Charles H. James Jr. He is survived by his wife, Bessie James; five daughters; Emma Allen, Ella Mae Bell, Laverne Willis, Mable Dickerson and Renay James; one son, Jimmy James; four stepchildren; Vernon, Michael, Angela and Donna Jones; a host of grandchildren; three sisters; Ella Henson, Dorothy Rohane, and Charlene Redford; one brother, Luther James; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sons-in-law, Robert Bell and Tommy Willis; one sister-in-law, Mildred Smith; five brothers-in-law; Ernest Redford and James, Leanious, Herbert Sr and Benjamin Bullock Sr.; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 1:30PM. Elder Alfred Wilson off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens.
