William Howell

William Wilson(Billy) Howell, age 81, of Manakin-Sabot, Virginia departed this life September 20, 2014, surrounded by his devoted wife of 62 years, Elizabeth Bradley Howell and family. He was preceded in death by his parents, James and Thelma Brackett Howell and one sister, Irene Woodson. Also, surviving are six daughters, Rachel Hyde(Harry), Mary Crutchfield(deceased Robert), Darlean Dailey (John), Lori Jones(Otis), Wanda Franklin(William), and Evangeline Howell; one son, Milton Cox(Charlene); 12 granchildren among them two devoted, Corey Howell and Chelston Freeman; 13 great grandchildren; family adopted Andrew Spencer of Florida; one deceased grandson, Allen Crutchfield; He is survived by two sisters, Theresa and Carlease Howell and one brother, Melvin Howell(Joyce); his in-laws are Mr. and Mrs Forest Brackett(Margaret), Earl and Melvin Morris and James Woodson; and other relatives and friends among them Rev. Mary H. Robinson, Deacon John Brackett, Lou and Patricia Via and the entire Alice Seigel family. The family wishes to thank St. Marys’s Hospital, the American Cancer Institute, Dr. Joshua McFarlane and Staff and Bon Secour Hospice. The family will receive friends on Thursday from 5 to 7 at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Homegoing celebration will be Friday at 1PM at First Baptist Church, 214 River Road West, Manakin-Sabot, Va. 23103. Rev. Dr. Deborah Sams(Pastor) off. Family friends assemble at the church 12:45pm Friday.
