Myrtle Atkins

Departed this life November 8, 2014. Mrs. Myrtle Atkins, age 91, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her first husband, Robert D. Poindexter Sr. and her second husband, Sandy Atkins Sr., two sons, Willis Tompkins(Irene Connor) and Larry Poindexter. She is survived by two daughters, Geraldine Thompson(Gus) and Jacqueline Lewis(Leonard); two sons, Robert Poindexter Jr.(Clarissa) and Barry Poindexter Sr.(Monique); one step son, Sandy Atkins Jr.(Joanne); 14 grandchildren; ____ great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday, 11AM at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. A. Lincoln James(pastor) off. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Tuesday.
