Thornton Departed this life October 22, 2008. Mrs. Catherine Thornton of Richmond. She is survived by one son,Kevin L. Thornton; one grandson,Kevin Ivan Thornton Jr.; three sisters;illie Venable, Gladys Davis and Edna Shackleford; one brother, Irvin Davis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-n-aw,Mary Davis; one brother-n-aw,William Shackleford and other relatives and friends among them Maggie Plummer and Wilma Alexander. She was a member of the Phi Delta Kappa, Inc, Alpha Zeta Chapter. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where memorial services will be held Tuesday at 1P.M. Dr. Yvonne Bibbs off. Interment Private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45P.M. tueday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
