Departed this life December 16, 2014. Mrs. Hattie Poteat, age 100, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, James Poteat Sr. She is survived by one daughter, Judiet Poteat, one son, James H. Poteat Jr.; one grandson, Jarlan Poteat; one sister, Annie Shaw; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Santa Poteat; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 1PM. Rev. Earl Brown off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Tuesday.
