Maria Smithers

Smithers, Mrs. Maria of Richmond, departed this life December 20, 2014. She is survived by one son, Ronald L. Johnson, Sr., three grandchildren, Ronald L. Johnson, Jr., Raven L. Johnson, and Kevin Stokes, Sr.; five great-grandchildren; two sisters, Jean Herbert and Barbara Woolfolk; two brothers, Fletcher and Morgan Johnson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Regina S. Johnson, two sisters-in-law, Bertha and Julia Johnson; one brother-in-law, George Clarke; and other relatives and friends, among them, a devoted Mary Smith. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave, where funeral services will be held 1 p.m. Monday., Dr. Stephen Hewlett officiating. Interment private. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45p.m. Monday.
