Shirley Gaines

Departed this life January 9, 2015. Mrs. Shirley Gaines, age 79, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Oliver Gaines Sr. She is survived by two sons, Oliver Gaines Jr. and Kevin Gaines; two grandchildren, Karl Orlando Belcher and Dorian Rose Gaines; one sister, Joyce Ann Miller; a host of cousins; two daughters-in-law, Jewel Lee-Gaines and D. Guarnetta Gaines; two sisters-in-law, Ann Booker and Delores Jasper; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 12 noon at Hood Temple A.M.E. Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Tony D. Henderson(pastor). Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Tuesday.
