Departed this life January 16, 2015. John Pleasants Jr., age 64, of Richmond. He retired from the City of Richmond, Department of Public Utilities after 30 years of service. He is survived by his wife, Cloria Pleasants; three daughters; Sherita Easter and Tachelle & Sherita Haskins; two sons, Shawn and Sherrod Pleasants; nine grandchildren; two great grandchildren; mother, Alease Pleasants; two sisters, Hester Pleasants and Barbara J. Mangum; three aunts; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Lakisha Pleasants; one son-in-law, Clarence Easter; one sister-in-law; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 1PM at Bethlehem Baptist Church, 1920 Fairmount Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Victor L. Davis(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Friday.
