Deacon Roman Hill Jr., age 84, of Richmond departed this life January 25, 2015. Roman was employed 58 years at Standard Furniture Company. He is survived by his wife, Lacy Hill; two daughters, Alfreda Hill and Vanessa Drayton(Michael); three sons; Gregory Hill(Linda), Willie Perry(Darlene) and Alonzo Perry; ten grandchildren; five great grandsons; four sisters; Florence Greene, Bernice Williams, Glorine Henderson and Shirley Hill; two brothers, Vernard Hill and Bishop Cleveland Hill; two aunts, Mae and Gladys Woodley; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; five sisters-in-law; three brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Michael Moore(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
