Earl Phillips

Departed this life March 11, 2015. Earl Phillips, age 81, of Richmond, formerly of Newark, New Jersey. He retired from the Peace Corp as the Country Director of the Eastern Caribbean. He was the executive director of a number of housing authorities across the country. He was also a member of Kappa Alpha Psi Fraternity. He is survived by one daughter, Cathy Garrison; two sons, Michael and Barton Phillips; seven grandchildren; one great grand daughter; a niece; and a host of cousins; two daughters-in-law, Michelle and Charlene Phillips; one son-in-law, Dr. Jordan Garrison; one sister-in-law, Helen Phillips and other relatives and friends among them a devoted companion, Julia Turner. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where memorial services will be held Saturday at 12 noon. Dr. Anthony Chandler off.
