Bessie Mae Jones

Departed this life April 10, 2015. Mrs. Bessie Jones, age 86, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Richard I. Jones and one son, Raymond I. Jones. She is survived by two daughters, Sandra McWilliams and Pamala Bell(Jerome); one son, Richard I. Jones Jr.; eight grandchildren; seven great grandchildren; three sisters; Willa Oliver(Walter), Fannie Copeland(her twin) and Geraldine Thomas(Albert); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. She was a tireless and dedicated worker and leader in the West End Community. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Thursday.
