Gillison, Departed this life January 7, 2009. George E. Gillison, Sr. of Richmond. he is preceded in death by his wife, Marian T. Gillison. He is survived by three daughters; Darlene G. Taylor and Caryn E. and Joan I Gillison; two sons, George E. Jr. and Walter A. Gillison; nine grandchildren; one sister, Catherine Glascoe; one brother, Felix M. Gillison, Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Teresa Gillison; one son-in-law, George C. Taylor, III; four sisters-in-law, Laura Gillison, Martha, Shirley and Lola Thornton; four brothers-in-law, Herman Coley, Sr. and Charles, William and Clarence Thornton and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1pm at Riverview Baptist Church, 2604 Idlewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Stephen Hewlett(pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45pm Monday.
