Departed this life July 5, 2015. Alva M. Johnston, age 83, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Kathryn Johnston; one son, Alva Marc Johnston; one step son, Dale E. Morrison(Leesa); two grandchildren; two sisters, Louise Anderson and Lillian Galloway; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Helen Cureton and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Thursday at 12:30PM. Interment Washington Memorial Park. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:15PM Thursday.
