Walter Jones

Departed this life August 18, 2015. Walter D. Jones, age 88, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Estelle Jones, one daughter, Linda Lewis and one grandson, Tehron Crossin. He is survived by three daughters; Sandra Morris(Vernon), Barbara Thorpe and Deborah Crossin; six grandchildren; ten great grandchildren; two sisters, Mary Ellis and Greather Meyers; two brothers, Raleigh Meyers and Phillip Meyers(Annie Margaret); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a son-in-law, Reuben Lewis; five sisters-in-law, Ann Ivey, Neatin Lucas, Barbara King, Mattie Meyers and Neenora Meyers; one brother-in-law, James Farmer and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at Fourth Baptist Church, 2800 P Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Emory Berry Jr.(pastor) off. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
