Helen Johnson

Departed this life October 9, 2015. Mrs. Helen Johnson, age 75, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Leon Johnson. She is survived by one daughter, Cynthia Lewis; three grandchildren; Demond & Keona Lewis and Daequan Cammon; two great grandchildren, Keasia Johnson and Daeveon Cammon; two sisters, Mary Weaver and Marion Newton; one brother, Johnny C. Newton Jr.; one step daughter, Valerie Whitlow; one uncle, Thomas Adams(Ophelia); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Tuesday. Funeral services will be held Wednesday at 12 noon at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Interment Quantico National Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Wednesday.
