Departed this life October 23, 2015. James G. Rogers, age 64, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by a son, Craig Rogers. He is survived by his wife, Alfreda Rogers; four daughters; Thalia Best and Jennifer, Jami & Jada Rogers; two sons, Vernon Shelton and Jonathan Rogers; two stepdaughters, Shayone and Shaykeida Leadbetter; six grandchildren; one sister, LaCretia Rogers; four brothers; Horace, Earl, William and Clyde Rogers; a host of nieces, nephews among them, Carlton Gaines and cousins; one son-in-law, Randy Best; one daughter- in-law, Sarah Rogers; mother-in-law, Velma Sims; eight sisters-in-law; six brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Memorial services will be held Thursday 1PM at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Rev. Roscoe Cooper III off. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Thursday.
