Sylvia Mickins

Departed this life December 12, 2015. Mrs. Sylvia Mickins, age 66, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by a daughter, LaTonya Washington and a devoted Warren Mickins. She is survived by two grandchildren, Dwayne and Brandy Washington; Antonio Mickins; six great grandchildren; mother, Martha Hunt; four sisters; Martha Davis, Zenobia Gary, Sandra Edmonds(Robert) and Patricia Hardy (Irwin); two aunts. Elizabeth Ruffin and Lavinia Banks; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Thursday from 6 to 7. Funeral services will be held Friday 12 noon at Pilgrim Journey Baptist Church, 7204 Bethlehem Road where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Angelo Chatmon(pastor). Rev. Jackie Lightfoot off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Friday.
