Departed this life January 9, 2016. Mrs. Shelby Barnett Watkins, age 35, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by one son, Kristian Watkins. She is survived by four children; Jalen, Jaden, Kristyn and Kristyna Watkins; her mother, Kathleen Barnett; father, Dr. Willis L. Barnett; paternal grandfather, Rev. Willis Barnett; one sister, Stacy M. Barnett; two brothers Corey(Ebony) and Aaron Barnett; a foster sister, Uniqua Jones; a host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends among them George Watkins. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Saturday 11AM at Fifth Street Baptist Church, 2800 Third Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. F. Todd Gray(pastor). Bishop Curtis Edmonds(eulogy) Interment Signal Hill Memorial Park. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
