Dr. Leonidas Young II

Departed this life January 16, 2016. Dr. Leonidas Young II, age 61, of Richmond. He was the pastor of New Kingdom Christian Ministries. He was a former mayor of the City of Richmond and a city councilman. He is survived by his wife, Co-Pastor Sanya Young; two daughters, Ariel Young and Erika Williams; one son, Leonidas Young III; father and mother, Leonidas Young Sr. and Cora Bell Young; three sisters; Jean Gilmore, Carolyn Hughes and Lora Hack; a host of nieces among them April Hughes and Erika Braxton, nephews and cousins; mother-in-law, Rev. Diana Brown; three brothers-in-law, Charles Gilmore, Darell Hack and Charles Buster Jr. and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Tuesday 12 noon at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where the remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Earl Brown(pastor) off. Rev.
