Alfoniza Pope

Departed this life February 22, 2016. Alfonzia Pope Sr., age 77, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Josephine Pope; three daughters; Joann Pope Williams, Yvonne Pope Ferguson and Sharon Pope McAllister; two sons, Alfonzia Pope Jr. and Carl Pope; an adopted son, Jerrell Pettiford; 14 fourteen grandchildren; 17 great grandchildren; three sisters; Floriene Whitaker, Gladys Whitaker and Millie Phox; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Patricia Pope; three sons-in-law, Earl Williams, Michael Ferguson and Lemark McAllister; eight sisters-in-law; two brothers-in-law and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Monday at 1pm at Beulah Baptist Church, 2305 Concord Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. William H. Smith Sr.(pastor) off. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45p Monday.
