George F. Thompson

Departed this life May 31, 2016. George Thompson, age 69, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Pamela Thompson; two daughters, Lakisha Thompson and Chelsea Carter; one son, Warren Brown; eight grandchildren; two sisters, Zelma Puryear and Desiree Dumas; two brothers, Ronell and Terrence Thompson; one aunt, Effie Robinson(Granville); one uncle, Arkell Thweatt(Ida); a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; a daughter-in-law, Olanda Brown; two sisters- in-law, Sandra and Karen Thompson; four brothers-in-law ;Donald Dumas and Patrick, W. Oscar and Dwayne Gilliard; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Sunday from 4 to 5PM. Funeral services will be held Monday, 1PM at Third Street Bethel A. M. E. Church, 614 N. Third Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Reuben Boyd(pastor) off. Interment Virginia Veterans Cemetery in Amelia. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Monday. In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Third Street Bethel AME Church Building Fund in memory of George Thompson.
