Departed this life August 22, 2016. Rev. Dr. Willie Phillips, Jr., age 83, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by a daughter, Wilnette Phillips-Long. He is survived by his wife, Esther Williams-Phillips; one daughter, Linda Phillips-Johnson (Dennis); three sons; Alvin Durant (Brenda); Teorn Phillips (Monique); Toriano Phillips (Sheila); six step children; Bishop Marcella Jones, C. Miranda Cherry-Ashby, Andrea Williams, Carlton Williams Jr., Alesia Thompson, and Kimberly Williams; one brother-in-law, Dr. Lee Royal Trent, a host of grand and great grandchildren, nieces, nephews, cousins, and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at the Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral Services will be held on Monday August 29th 11:00am Cedar Street Baptist Church of God, 2301 Cedar Street, Richmond, VA. Family and Friends assemble at the church 10:45 Monday.
