Joana Slater

Departed this life September 4, 2016. Mrs. Joana Slater, age 76, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her mother, Dorothy R. Smith and her sister, Marjorie Lynch. She is survived by two sons, Eugene Colden and Jemal Colden; three grandchildren; Shamia Colden-Burson, and Geordan & Jadyn Colden; a host of nieces among them Denise Lynch, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Monique Colden; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30PM and where funeral services will be held Saturday at 1PM. Interment Maury Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral 12:45PM Saturday.
