Marcella Doby

Departed this life September 15, 2016. Ms. Marcella Doby, age 87, of Richmond, originally from Williston, South Carolina. She is survived by her children, Shirley Strang Frampton, Pete Strang, and John Strang (Dawn); seven grandchildren and five great grandchildren; several god-daughters; and in South Carolina her niece Melissa Doby and cousin Annie Jean Davenport. She leaves to rejoice in her memory her devoted Richmond family– Mary Harris, Mary Jones, Patricia Jones, and Sarena Johnson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, Richmond, VA 23220. Funeral Services will be held Monday, 19 September 2016 at 12:00 noon, at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 West Cary Street, Richmond, VA 23220, where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Reverend Earl M. Brown officiating. Interment Westhampton Memorial Park following service. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Monday, 19 September 2016.
