Mamie Artis Jones

Jones, Departed this life July 9, 2009. Mrs. Mamie C. Jones of Richmond. She was preceded in death by her husband, William Jones, two daughters, Vernell Turner and Catherine Jones, two sons, Roy and Herbert Jones. She is survived by four daughters; Thelma Vines, Annette Harris, Obeatrice Hill and Peggy Jones; nineteen grandchildren; twenty eight great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sons-in-law, Alfred Turner and Arthur Hill; one sister-in-law, Pattie Artis; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Monday 1PM. at Grayland Baptist Church, 2301 Third Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior funeral time. Dr. Clifton Whitaker(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Monday.
