Rise Gail Nelson

Departed this life November 12, 2016. Mrs. Rise Nelson, age 61, of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Francis Nelson; three sons; David, Marcus and Malcolm Nelson; her mother, Anna Lewis; two sisters, Rene Akers and Andrea Lewis; one brother, Antoine Lewis; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30PM. Funeral services will be held Saturday 12 noon at New Light Baptist Church, 2000 E. Broad Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Vernon Hurte(pastor). Rev. Diane Mosby off. Interment Mt. Calvary Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Saturday.
