Departed this life December 1, 2016. Javar Mayo, age 24, of Richmond. He is survived by his parents, John R. and Joan J. Mayo; one aunt, Elaine Blaylock; a host of cousins; and other relatives and friends among them his god mother, Gloria Burrell and god father, Wendell White. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30pm Thursday. Funeral services will be held Friday 1PM at Mt. Vernon Baptist Church, 1902 Rosewood Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Michael Moore(pastor) off. Entombment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 12:45PM Friday.
