Octavia E. Jackson

Departed this life December 5, 2016. Mrs. Octavia Easter Jones Jackson, age 88, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Williams Jackson; one daughter, Shirley Jackson Tate and one son, William O. Jackson. She is survived by seven children; Geneva Anthony, Carol Jackson-Bowks, Geraldine Beck, Slavonia Lunsford, George Alston, David Jackson and Theresa Dewitt; 17 grandchildren; 25 great grandchildren; five great great grandchildren; one sister, Arlene Jones; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Ave. where the family will receive friends 3 to 4pm Sunday. Funeral services will be held Monday 12 noon at Trinity Baptist Church, 2811 Fendall Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. A. Lincoln James(pastor) off. Interment Oakwood Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Monday.
