Bertha Wall

Departed this life January 9, 2017. Mrs. Bertha Wall, age 88, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Ernest Wall Sr. and one son, Nathaniel N. Johnson Jr. She is survived by one daughter, Gloria Patterson Byrd; two sons, Ernest J. and Kelvin R. Wall; 13 grandchildren; 12 great grandchildren; one sister, Elsie R. Briggs; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Marcita P. Johnson; and other relatives and friends among them a devoted Mary Leisure. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Friday 11am at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor), Rev. Stephen Towns officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Friday.
