Brown, Departed this life August 22, 2009. Joseph Byrd(Billy) Brown, age 87, of Richmond. He is survived by his wife, Rebecca(Beck) Brown; two daughters; Leola Mae Brown and Geraldine Winston; one son,Joseph Charles Brown; two grandchildren; Sherod Blackwell and Janequa Winston; two great grandchildren; Nasir Blackwell and Cory Winston; two sisters; Irene Tanner and Bessie Smith, both of Baltimore, Maryland; three brothers; St. Mark Brown of Chesapeake, Herbert Brown of Baltimore and Elbert Brown of Broadnax, Virginia; one aunt, Bessie Harris of New York; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three sisters-in-law; Rebecca Brown, Annie Tabb, and Maggie Wilkins; one brother-in-law, Roger Broadnax and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11AM at Triumphant Baptist Church, 2003 Lamb Avenue where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Arthur Jones(pastor), Rev. Delores R. Seay off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Thursday.
