Departed this life March 24, 2017. Mrs. Viola M. Gilliam, age 89, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by three children, Delores Rich, Ruth Martin and Alvin Gilliam Jr. She is survived by six grandchildren; eleven great grandchildren; nine great great grandchildren; four sisters; Verlena Jeffries, Phyllis Fleming, Marie Cornish and Sylvia Henderson; one brother, Calvin Jeffries; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one daughter-in-law, Thomasine Gilliam; one sister-in-law, Ann Jeffries; one brother-in-law, George Fleming Sr and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 11AM. Rev. Reese Washington Jr. of. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 10:45AM Friday.
