Departed this life April 13, 2017. Mrs. Joyce Nicholson, age 69, of Richmond. She is survived by her husband, Rev. Lorenzo Nicholson, Sr.; one daughter, Kia L. Smith(Thomas); two sons, Lorenzo Jr.(Joynita) and Brian(Arika) Nicholson; a special niece, Erica Armwood; five grandchildren; Sydney Smith, and Ian, Joel, Jace, & Josiah Nicholson; eight sisters; four brothers; six aunts; one uncle; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; six sisters-in-law; eight brothers-in-law; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM Friday. Funeral services will be held Saturday (4/22)11AM at Fifth Baptist Church, 1415 W. Cary Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Earl Brown(pastor). Rev. Roy Neal Siler off. Interment family cemetery in Emporia Virginia. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Saturday.
