Doris Jean Johnson

Departed this life April 13, 2017. Mrs. Doris Johnson, age 87, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Cleveland Johnson and her parents, James and Myrtle Blackwell. She is survived by a daughter, Gwendolyn Johnson; one grandson, Devin Johnson; one brother, Arthur Blackwell Sr.; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue. Funeral services will be held Thursday 12 noon at Hood Temple AME Zion Church, 16 W. Clay Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Rev. Tony D. Henderson(pastor) off. Interment Roselawn Memory Gardens. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:45AM Thursday.
