Jeanette Smith

Departed this life June 17, 2017. Mrs. Jeanette Smith, age 85, of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Howard C. Smith; one daughter, Cynthia Tyler; and one son, Muhammad Salaam. She is survived by three daughters, Jo Ann Whitley; Vera Tyler and Andrea Ingram; five sons; Clarence E. Frye, El-shura-Ul Usalaam, Ma-Mun Salaam; Randy Tyler, and Shawn Cooper; 21 grandchildren; a host of great and great great grandchildren; one sister, Eunice McCall, one brother, Yasin El-Amin ; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; three daughters-in-law; Myra Salaam, Denise Usalaam, and Khadijah Salaam; one sister-in-law, Khadijah El-Amin; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Friday at 1PM. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 12:45PM Friday.
