Richard Meekins

Departed this life July 29, 2017. Richard Meekins Sr., age 80, of Richmond. He is preceded in death by his wife, Ruthan Gray Meekins. He is survived by one daughter, Ruth Brown(Hashim); three sons; Richard Meekins Jr.(Annie), Horace Gray Meekins and Duncan Meekins; twelve grandchildren; several great grandchildren; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sisters-in-law, Gladys and Alice Meekins; and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends Friday from 6:30 to 7:30PM and where funeral services will be held Saturday at 12 noon. Rev. Dr. Rebecca Branch Griffin off. Interment Forest Lawn Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the funeral home 11:45AM Saturday.
