Joseph L. Wiley

Joseph Lavelle Wiley, age 53, formerly of District Heights, Maryland, departed this life on Sunday, September 10, 2017, with his wife, Tracey Jeter Wiley at his bedside. Mr. Wiley is preceded in death by his mother, Vannette E. Wiley. He is survived by his wife, Tracey, one son, Joshua L. Byrd; two step children, Lauren and DeWayne Jeter, III; his father, Wilson T. Wiley; three sisters, Sharon P. Wiley, Michele Y. Brown, and Tammie L. Wiley; five aunts, six uncles, three nieces, one nephew; three great nieces, his mother-in-law, Charlotte Greenhill; one brother- in- law, Anthony Lomax, two sisters- in-law, Shawnda Lomax and Vonda Lomax; and a host of cousins, other relatives and friends. Mr. Wiley’s remains rest at Joseph Jenkins, Jr., Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue, where the family will receive friends on Thursday, September 14th from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. A viewing will be held from 10:00 a.m. until the funeral time at 11:00 a.m. on Friday, September 15th at The St. Paul Baptist Church, 4247 E. Creighton Road, Richmond, VA. Dr. Lance Watson, Pastor. Funeral services will begin at 11:00 a.m. Interment, Mt. Calvary Cemetery, 1400 S. Randolph Street, Richmond, VA, 25220. Family and friends are asked to assemble at the church at 10:45 a.m. Friday.
