Roosevelt Brooks

Brooks, Roosevelt Brooks, 78, of Richmond, departed this life peacefully at his home on January 10, 2010. He was preceded in death by his wife, Lorraine E. Brooks; one son, Roosevelt L. Brooks and one great grand daughter, Eniece M. Williams. He is survived by six daughters; Tangela Brooks Ra’oof(Melvin), Sonia Brooks, Joyce Williams, Idiyatu(Peaches) Brooks-Davis(Theron), Colette Brooks-Salaam(Rafeeq), Medina Brooks-Page(James); one son, Emanuel Brooks(Natasha); 19 grandchildren; eight great grandchildren; one sister, Elizabeth Jefferies, one aunt, Lucy Jefferson; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; one sister-in-law, Delores Douglas Fisher; two brothers-in-law, Louis and Nathaniel Douglas and other relatives and friends. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where funeral services will be held Wednesday at 11AM. Brother Melvin Ra’oof officiating. Interment Oakwood Cemetery.
