Dorothy Polite Hicks

Hicks, Dorothy Polite Hicks departed this life February 24, 2010. She was preceded in death by her husband, James Howard Hicks, Sr. She is survived by her son, James Howard Hicks Jr.; three grandchildren; Jamie, James III and Evan-Ashley Hicks; three great grandchildren; one brother-in -law; two sisters-in-law; a host of nieces, nephews and other relatives and friends. She was a member of Mary C. Stewart Chapter, #128, Order of the Eastern Star. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 3 to 5PM on Sunday, February 28. Funeral services will be conducted on March 1 at 12 noon at Sixth Baptist Church, 400 So. Addison Street where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr Yvonne Bibbs(pastor) officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 11:30AM Monday.
