Lewis, Departed this life April 16, 2010. Mrs. LaVinia Lewis of Richmond. She is preceded in death by her husband, Willie M. Lewis Sr., two daughters, Barbara Ann Scott and Jacquelyn Lewis and her brother, Floyd Posby Sr. She is survived by two daughters, Carolyn Allmon and Patricia Mills; one step son, Willie Lewis Jr.; five grandchildren; Tiffany Allmon-Stewart, Jackie Scott Jr., Aundre Scott, Gerard Mills and JaBari Scott; four great grandchildren; one sister, Jeanette Blackwell; two aunts, Louise Irby and and Beulah Webb; a host of nieces, nephews and cousins; two sons-in-law, Haywood L. Allmon and Larry George Mills Jr.; and other relatives and friends, among them Mary Hutchinson. Remains rest at Joseph Jenkins Jr. Funeral Home, 2011 Grayland Avenue where the family will receive friends from 6:30 to 7:30PM on Wednesday. Funeral services will be held Thursday 11AM at Swansboro Baptist Church, 3801 Midlothian Tnpk where remains will lie in state one hour prior to funeral time. Dr. Herbert Plummer Sr.(pastor) officiating. Interment Riverview Cemetery. Family and friends assemble at the church 10:45AM Thursday.
